Founder’s Message

Dear Community,

As the founder of Saqr Modest Activewear, I want to share a part of my journey with you. After raising four kids, I decided at the age of 43 to return to school and study Fitness and Health at Humber College. It wasn’t easy, balancing family, studies, and my dream of becoming a trainer was one of the biggest challenges of my life.

During my training, I also struggled to find modest activewear that truly supported me. Nothing I found felt right, and that difficulty pushed me to create something new, not just for myself, but for other women who face the same struggle.

That’s how Saqr was born: activewear that brings together modesty, comfort, and performance. The name Saqr, meaning falcon in Arabic, stands for strength, focus, and resilience, the same qualities every woman carries when she chooses to rise above challenges.

At Saqr, we believe that even when the journey is hard, you can still soar.

While studying Fitness and Health in Canada, it became evident that this was not just a personal struggle but a shared experience among many women. They desire to feel confident, covered, and comfortable while engaging in their fitness routines. This realization led to the birth of Saqr.
The name “Saqr,” meaning falcon in Arabic, symbolizes strength, grace, resilience, and independence. Just like the falcon, our designs are meant for women who are determined, focused, and unapologetically themselves. Saqr is more than just clothing; it represents a movement to empower women to pursue their fitness goals while honoring their beliefs and embracing their individuality.
